About the composition

For Dance (Pro tanec, H 158) is a small foxtrot study, first printed in Lidové noviny on 20 February 1927 (p. 6), three days after the Prague premiere of the ballet Who is the Most Powerful in the World (Kdo je na světě nejmocnější, H 133). There is a sympathetic lyrical element at the end of the piece, plus a bimetric in the middle section.

Věra Zouharová. Drobné klavírní skladby, Panton, 1995.
