About the composition

Children's songs for voice and piano accompaniment in two sets were composed in Paris in 1925. Three of the songs with French lyrics have been preserved: 1. Le petit oiseaux (The Little Bird), 2. Le soir (The Evening), 3. Le sapin de Noël (The Christmas Tree). The first series of songs is dedicated to the Osusky children and the second series to the children of Ferdinand Couget. The songs were never published and the manuscript is now missing.
