Scherzo (Divertimento) for Flute and Piano is the third movement of the Sextet for Wind Instruments and Piano, H 174. It was composed at the same time as the rest of the piece, in 1929 in Paris. The premiere took place on December 29, 1929, in Berlin. Scherzo (Divertimento) also complements Martinů's Sonata for Flute and Piano, H 306. It was first published separately in 1965 by the Czech Music Fund in Prague.
