Content and physical description
ContentA medical report on Bohuslav Martinů’s examination, requested by the Czechoslovak Consulate in New York from Dr. Joseph Winn. The documents consist of three pages of handwritten notes, the contents of which are also included in two typewritten copies of the report on Joseph A. Winn letterhead. Each of the typewritten copies contains different handwritten annotations and additions. It describes BM’s condition following his accident in Great Barrington as of February 21, 1947: ringing in the ears, dizziness, headache, hearing loss in the right ear, and reduced sensitivity. Conclusion: BM is unable to perform his profession. A follow-up examination is recommended in 6 months.
