ContentBohuslav Martinů explains to Charlotte Martinů that he wrote the previous letter in haste because he was upset about the mess in the apartment. It has been cleaned, but the windows still need to be washed. He complains about the heat, humidity and head problems caused by the weather. He has not received a reply from [Jan] Schvec. [Josef and Marie] Machacek are preparing to leave. They are looking forward to the ChM news from Paris. Also planning a doctor's visit. Rudolf [Firkušný] should arrive around the 15th [of September]. BM asks how ChM's mother [Augustine Quennehen] is.
