Content and physical description
ContentRobert Fitzgerald thanks Erick Hawkins for [Gezi] Roheim's book [The Riddle of the Sphinx (1934), which EH had studied when thinking of the subject of the ballet THE SHRINK]. RF has begun to think the matter over and partly to write it up, but has not yet a complete draft. There would be no point in meeting now. RF suggests meeting on July 1 at the Harvard Club. Regarding giving clear deadlines, RF and EH will certainly agree that such a promising work should be published in as perfect a form as possible. He shares the hope that the work might be ready for the opening of the Martha Graham Dance Company, but as a poet he must be satisfied with it.
