Content and physical description
ContentMary Boylan forwards to Martha Graham the letter MB sent to José and Pauline Lemons regarding the New London Festival. MG is of course aware of the changes MB mentions in the enclosed letter but prefers to send it anyway. Regarding MG's schedule, MB proposes a schedule of 5 performances [the evening performance on Thursday, August 19 mentions a work by Bohuslav Martinů, i.e., the premiere of THE STRANGLER ballet].

[In an attached letter also dated 14.6.1948 MB gives the reasons why the Festival Board has made the changes, i.e. reducing the number of performances of the Festival and gives a schedule of each performance, mentioning which dance company will be performing on any given evening. It does not list the works performed].

[Also enclosed is a separate sheet of paper that contains another listing of the Martha Graham Company performances. There are 6 performances listed, with a total of three performances of THE STRANGLER planned. In the end, the ballet was performed only once at the festival, on Sunday, August 22, 1948, the last night of the festival].
