ContentBohuslav Martinů regrets that Charlotta Martinů did not understand his previous letter. He was worried about the health of his mother [Karolina Martinů], but fortunately she is improving and gaining strength. He was still planning to leave on the 30th, but was busy and thought about returning on Wednesday evening, which was eventually delayed until Friday. He spent time with his friend from the Philharmonic and [Stanislav] Novak, and also had a lot to say to [Václav] Talic. He and SN visited his father [Ferdinand Novak], who was delighted with the visit; he will be 85 years old. Then they went to Hradec, from where BM continued to Brno to meet [Ota] Zítek. He interacted with many people, he is considered an important artist in Czechoslovakia. He also saw his brother [František Martinů]. He plans to stay another week, then go to Prague and then to Paris.
