Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů hopes that Charlotta Martinů received his postcard from Polička and misses her very much. He apologizes for the delay of the check from the Bank of Prague and is sorry that ChM had problems with it. He describes how he spends his days in the garden swimming and relaxing, and admits that he would prefer to speak to ChM in French. He reports on a new piece for piano [DANCE] for [Michele] Dillard. In the second part of the letter he asks if ChM has spoken to [Jan] Zrzavy and enquires about his activities and possible exhibition. He also asks if [Václav] Nebeský has left yet. He states that the situation at home is better, his mother [Karolina Martinů] is recovering and eating more. She is planning a Sunday trip to a nearby town by car. She asks if ChM has written to [Stanislav] Novák, from whom she has had no news, and wants to know when SN will come to see him.
