Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů tells Charlotte Martinů that he has no good news. They enjoyed their time with [Stanislav] Novák in Polička, but then their mother [Karolina Martinů] had a heart attack and Marie Martinů also complained about her health, so they are now both in hospital. Their condition is improving, but they will remain in hospital for some time. [Stanislav] Novák will stay in Polička for a few more days, cooking for himself and sometimes going to the hotel for meals. Everyone was very tired after the All-Sokol meeting, there were many people in Prague. Martinů talked [about a place at the Prague Conservatory] with [Josef] Schieszl, [Václav] Talich and a person close to the President [Edvard Beneš], he managed to arrange a meeting with EB. BM is thinking of ChM, he misses him.
