ContentUpon his return, Miloš Šafránek was subjected to an inspection by the housing commission, which tried to prove that he had an overpriced apartment, but failed. It took several days for MŠ to get used to the doorstep again and to be able to work fully. He will be giving two lectures in October (on Debussy and on women famous composers) and is due to produce 17 articles and analyses for the Gramophone Works. He enjoys his work.
He received his first letter from Paris after the strike of 29 August with good news about his family. What does BM write? He remembers the shelf, without which and the friends he has there he would feel impoverished. He sends his regards to František and Jindřiška Martinů.
