ContentJaroslav Jindra, in his notes to the lecture, describes his negotiations with Zdeněk Nejedlý regarding the invitation of Bohuslav Martinů to Prague as professor of composition in 1949. BM's return was ruined, among other things, by a serious accident [this is therefore 1946; the reference to the 1949 Prague Spring Festival, where Rafael Kubelík was to perform, is also a mistake and probably refers to 1946. In 1949 Kubelík was already in emigration].
