ContentVáclav Talich apologizes to Rudolf Stránský that he will not be able to participate in the garden party in the Valdštýn garden, to which RS invited him. VT recommends RS a composition suitable for musical production at this event. VT mentions that he will be busy with preparations for the opening concert of the Sokol celebrations [took place on 7/2/1938 in Smetana Hall. On the program originally was Martinů FESTIVE OUVERTURE FOR SOKOL GATHERING 1932, but was not performed due to abence of performing material, see review by B. Vomáčka: "Slavnostní koncert sletový" in Lidové noviny, no. 334, 5. 7. 1938, morning issue, p. 10].
