Content and physical description
ContentRichard Klos replies to letters from Charlotte Martinů dated 4.8.1976 [ID 9175] and 11.8.1976. He received them late because he was not in Prague. RK is glad that ChM will come to Czechoslovakia after Christmas, although it is a pity that he cannot come in the autumn. RK will be happy to arrange a stay at the spa for her, asks about her preferences. The Czechoslovak Ambassador in Bern was in Schönenberg at the grave of Bohuslav Martinů. Koller's film is still stored in the CHF, the Minister of Culture [Milan Klusák] will see it on his return to Prague. RK hopes that ChM will be able to see the film after Christmas. According to [Stepan] Engel of Orbis, the German translation of ChM's book will be completed around December. RK sends copies of [Gerald] Davis' drawings.
He has good news: the Bohuslav Martinů Society is to start its activities soon, perhaps just in time for ChM's visit in the New Year. RK has not received any letters from [Hans] Steinbeck of SUISA, but based on Jan Ledec's conversations with HS, he thinks that there will be no problem with copyright and that everything could turn out as ChM would like.
He spoke with [František] Popelka about the preparation of [Miloš] Šafránek's book "Bohuslav Martinů Theatre".
