ContentCharlotte Martinů apologises to Peter Mieg for responding so belatedly to his touching letter. It gives her great comfort thinking how much her dear late husband was loved by everyone. She arrived very late at Schönenberg having been very ill. ChM asks PM to give her regards to miss Charlotte[?].

Verso of the letter contains printed sympathy thank you note: “Madame Bohuslay [sic] MARTINU | Et sa Famille, | Très touchés de la sympathie que vous leur | avez témoignée dans la douloureuse épreuve | qui vient de les frapper, vous prient de croire | à l'expression de leur profonde gratitude.”
Both the card and the envelope contain black framing on both sides.
