Content and physical description
ContentWilli Strecker writes to Samuel Dushkin that the manuscripts and proofs [?] seem to have been lost for good. This should not be a big problem, however, given that all corrections against the manuscript have already been made and SD still has some photocopies. WS will have SD send a new complete set of copies next week. [Emmanuel] Chabrier's "Marche joyeuse" should have the copyright 1951 by Schott Ltd, London. WS is pleased that recordings of this work are already being made. Only Pergolesi's score remains unprinted, as he has not yet completed proofs. WS thinks that Martinů is no longer able to do much work and it would take him too long, so he recommends doing a piano reduction in collaboration with Erich Itor. WS tells SD very confidential information, namely that he will probably have to return to New York in the spring. He will let SD know in time for them to meet there. However, this information should not prevent SD from completing proofs as soon as possible.
