Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav and Charlotte Martin were touched by the letter [from Maja and Paul Sacher]. BM has gone through indescribable despair and thanks the Sachers for their encouragement. They feel the emptiness, BM's plans are thwarted. They organize resistance here and do not lose hope for better days. BM doesn't think he will return to Prague now. It is out of the question for him to take a place at the conservatory. Rather, he will probably be called to America to start fighting for [Czechoslovakia's] independence again. He and ChM often reminisce about their stay with the Sachers. They say hello to Conrad Beck.
