Content and physical description
ContentMiloš Šafránek writes to Jan Zrzavý about his life in Prague and his friends. [Josef] Šíma is in better health, but a year ago he looked seriously ill. Now he is painting diligently. [Bohuslav] Martinů is living in Rome, he has a "very comfortable place" at the American Academy for a year. As always, he composes a lot. He would like to go home, "he has enough work to commission". MŠ doesn't know if BM would like it at home, he would probably miss a lot of things and "our musicologists and especially composers would pounce on him". Otherwise, according to MŠ, 'the whole world [...] does not look very bright'. The school gives its Prague address.
