ContentMarie Martinů greets Charlotte, who is in France with her family. It's a pity they couldn't both go. ChM must remember that her family in France has had some difficult years, as has the Martin family in Polička. She sends her regards to ChM's mother. MM received a letter from Bohuslav Martinů, he is waiting for news from Rudolf Firkušný. She wonders if she will receive good news from him. Lord willing, BM will return to Europe. What does ChM plan to do after her stay in France? Does he still want to return to America or will he wait here for BM? He doesn't understand BM's plans. On behalf of himself and Fan [Francis Martinu], he thanks ChM for the packages she sent them, it helped them. Mr. Jew hasn't written yet, he will probably be on his way. There was a pair of pants in the package from ChM, he will share with Jindřiška. Jindřiška's niece is with them now. Does ChM want to meet the Sachers? He thinks they'd like to see her. Mrs Dagmar Hahn [?] from Denmark is said to have sent many parcels, but only two arrived, the rest were lost.
