Content and physical description
ContentBoosey & Hawkes confirm that they have had a conversation with Mr. Shebek and are interested in taking on the role of a representative agency, at least in the Commonwealth countries, but it would also be possible in the United States, where there is a very important branch of Boosey & Hawkes. The discount from Artie on sheet music is from 50% to 60%, 60% if 50 or more copies. B&H would like to see the complete Artie catalogue before making a final decision, but even so they believe in a minimum annual turnover of £2000 for Commonwealth countries, more if the USA is included. Publications with no political overtones, including biographies, letters or theoretical works, would be considered. B&H have a very extensive sales network in New York, Paris, Sydney, Toronto, Cape Town, Buenos Aires and Bonn. As they are already the representative agency for Mazhdunarodnaya Kniga in Moscow for the British Empire, Scandinavia, West Germany, Austria and Italy, B&H are also hoping for a deal with Artia.
