Content and physical description
ContentThe sender thanks Vladimír Vaněk for his letter. He has sought out Dr. [Vladimír] Štěpánek [Czechoslovakia's representative to UNESCO], who has just returned from Prague, where he intervened in the Bohuslav Martinů case at a meeting of the Society of Czechoslovak Composers. They assured him that they would take care of the matter and would send Martinů directly to Nice and would inform Štěpánek of the decision, which would certainly be positive, because, according to international convention, BM, as a foreign national, has the right to receive royalties from Czechoslovakia. The sender himself will keep the matter under review and occasionally seek out V. Stepanek. if he has already received notification from Prague.
