ContentMiloslav Rechcígl would like to thank Vladimír Vaňek for sending him an excerpt from his forthcoming lecture on Bohuslav Martinů. Unfortunately, the Society for Sciences and Arts cannot give VV any honorarium for his work. The SVU manages only the membership fees and all officers work for the SVU for free. For this reason, SVU also does not publish books by its own means, but through other publishers at their financial risk. If the SVU is in great financial difficulty, they can provide a maximum of $20. Hopefully the SVU understands their situation and goodwill. MR asks that the text of the talk be sent to them by the end of July to allow time for translation.
