ContentKarel Šebánek wishes Ernst Roth a good recovery. Martinů is better now. KS was at his brother's funeral a month ago [Bohuslav Martinů's brother František died of stomach cancer on 23 September 1958]. He is preparing the bills for Boosey & Hawkes "hire fees" for 1958 and hopes to send them in before the new year. Pity he has not received the promised pocket scores of the new works - there would have been more performances. Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year 1959.
