Content	Co-manager of the Cleveland Orchestra thanks to Alfred Schlee for his letter of 12 October 1956. They asked Martinů to deliver the score of the commissioned work [THE ROCK] to George Szell at Severance Hall, Cleveland, no later than 1 June 1957. They would be grateful to receive the orchestral parts by 1 October 1957. He/she also mentions their string requirements (9-8-6-6-5).
