ContentMiloš Šafránek greets František Martinů in the hospital and wishes him a speedy recovery. MŠ continues to work on books about BM, so far he has submitted English and German versions. It will be a large book of about 350 pages, 116 music examples and 40 pictures. He is also preparing a Czech edition, but it will be revised. There should also be a book, A Committee of BM Literary Works, which the Composers' Union wants to publish. They have agreed with BM that they will work on this as long as age permits so that the next generation of scholars will have quality study materials.
The work on the book has been challenging but beautiful. MS sent BM a copy of the manuscript. He liked the passages from his youth the best. MS recalls how he was initially writing the book with FM and MM in Polička and on Lucky Hill, and how they told him. He believes in BM's return to his homeland.
