ContentHe should definitely commission one of Bohuslav Martinů's compositions, he just shouldn't tell anyone that composers living abroad are not paid support or royalties, they might catch on in Brno. Let BM send a statement from Paris that if the prize is awarded, the money should be paid to Karolina Martinů. She should also send a hand-signed application. Karel Šebánek knows the result of the 1939 competition. [Vilém] Petrželka is very offended that he has not received anything. Have KS ask the director [Václav] Mikota if Vítězslava Kapralová's songs will be published - he promised to write by the end of January, but nothing has come.
Unfortunately, he has nothing for viola.
