ContentThe Czech Academy of Sciences and Arts has decided to award a grant of 300K to Bohuslav Martinů in the field of music on the basis of a proposal from a committee consisting of Josef Foerster and Vítězslav Novák. The other recipients are Felix Zrna, Jan Kunc, Antonín Pokorný, Julius Fiala, Vojtěch Šístka, Otokar Jelínek and Josef Zef. The Klementina Kalašová Scholarship was awarded to Albert Pek for his String Quartet in G minor.
