ContentMiloš Šafránek writes about the successful premiere of the second version of ŠPALÍČEK in Prague [2.4.1949 at the National Theatre]. Unfortunately, the interpretation was not the best, but Václav Kašlík did a good job with the orchestra of the 5 May Theatre.
He also asks for memories of BM's childhood - he would like to know what his mother [Karolina Martinů] sang and what influence she had on Bohuslav. He would also like to know who supported BM in his journey to the conservatory and about BM's visits to the rectory in Borová. MS was surprised at the romanticism in BM's youth - clearly BM had changed a lot in this area.
