Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Taraba responds belatedly (after his return from Slovakia) to Miloš Šafránek's question about his memories of BM, with whom he was mainly in contact with his brother Jaroslav Taraba during his studies in Prague. Unfortunately, BT knew little about his brother and his contacts with BM, as he lived with his family in Polička and his brother had died in 1920.
However, BT remembers BM in Polička because he and his family lived under the tower of St. James Church and he often saw BM with a book in his hand heading to the park.
JT lived together with BM and Stanislav Novák in Prague in the house U Myslíků (upstairs on the pavement on the side of Černá Street). All three lived very modestly and supported each other. JT conducted an orchestra of university students.
Martinů often changed apartments in Prague, BT once visited him in Náprstkova Street, later in Kampa (in Hroznova Street).
