Content and physical description
ContentSilvestr Hipman in his unpublished essay entitled "To the Painters in Corsica and Other Pastimes" (1926-1931) recalls a short stay in Paris in February 1928 [probably from 23-25 February]. On this occasion he again recalled his Parisian stay two years earlier, spent there in the company of Karel Boleslav Jirák, Miloš Jirko, Hanuš Jelínek, Rudolf Kepl and Bohuslav Martinů. This time he found Bohuslav Martinů again in the La Rotonde café. SH describes the tenacious work of BM, who gradually made his way in Paris through his diligence, but he always enjoyed hearing stories about his compatriots.
