Content and physical description
ContentShe also received correspondence from Magdenka [Kapral], who encrypts a message for Bohumil Kapral [about to join the foreign resistance] in a letter. He is looking forward to the launch of his Symfonietta [on the Brno radio schedule]. Last Sunday [28.1.1940] [Rudolf Firkušný] played her April Preludes in Triton with success. He is now writing two more dances for the RF. The Great Master [Bohuslav Martinů] is now going to Switzerland for a festival [for the premiere of TWO CONCERTS FOR TWO SINGERS. ORCHESTRA, CLAVIER AND TYMPANS, Basel, 9.2:1940, BSO, P. Sacher]. He will probably not marry. He is in a hurry with a letter for BM to take with him as he is leaving in an hour. He regrets that someone has already written a cantata on the poem "Singing to the Motherland" by Joseph Hora. They often listen to the Prague radio, they sometimes play nice things there.
