Content and physical description
ContentVítězslava Kaprálová was very busy with the scholarship arrangements and so apologizes for the lapse in correspondence. She inquires about the situation in Three Wells and the friends she has there. They are organizing a concert [in Paris] where "two Kaprals" are to be played, and there are many other concerts she wants to attend. Václav Kapral should forward another letter from VK to Vítězslav Kapral Sr., she did not want to list everything twice. She will stay in France over the holidays and see if she gets an American scholarship, she thinks not. She doesn't want to risk the trip home to Three Wells, seeing the problem people have when they want to leave the Czechoslovakia. With Bohuslav Martinů they don't have to deal with anything yet [the question of their relationship and BM's marriage], they will wait to see how things develop. He and BM are now reminiscing a lot about the Three Wells and about Kapral's parents. BM nudges her to write to her mother to see if she would accept him as her son-in-law. Both [VK and BM] give her their best regards.
