Content and physical description
ContentVítězslava Kaprálová is desperate about the current situation. Yesterday she was at the École Normale, but in the meantime Nadia [Boulanger] has gone back to America and will probably return in July, [Charles] Munch is not teaching for lack of pupils and the composition teacher does not suit her. So they [Bohuslav Martinů] went to the Schola Cantorum, but they didn't find anyone suitable there either. With Auguste Mangeot they finally agreed to re-establish a conducting class with ChM. She is also considering studying with Darius Milhaud or Arthur Honegger, although she is not very close to their music. She will study French, German and maybe English with BM. Rudek [Kopec] would like her to return, but she is tempted by a trip to America. She would prefer that he come to Paris. She needs to read the articles about Vaclav Kapral. They have arranged a scholarship for Vera [Uhlířová]. VK is still working on the third movement of the Partita and has begun composing a new piece for two solo instruments and orchestra [Concertino for violin, clarinet and orchestra, Op. 21].
