Content and physical description
ContentVítězslava Kaprálová was at the reception [Cité internationale universitaire de Paris] on Sunday, where she met the students. The scholarship holder [Jan] Šedivka played there, but VK did not like his repertoire. [Pavla] Osuská invited her to Wednesday tea, but VK did not go, she had a bit of a cold. Nor did she attend yesterday's concert with Manuel Rosenthal, where Ariadne on Naxos was also played. She describes the plans for the compositions for the Čapek in memoriam evening.
Bohuslav Martinů gave her POADS for her birthday. Radio is reportedly planning a concert of VK's Military Symphony, BM's Military March and "that Militaire Symphony by Joseph Haydn" under her baton. How did Václav Kapral receive the news [of the rejection of the Rustica Suite by Rudolf] Kalmus [of Universal Edition]? Schools don't start until February 1, maybe he'll go to Nadia Boulanger. Sends greetings from BM.
