ContentLetter to Mr. Jay Harrison. On October 4, 1956, the following orchestral works will be performed in concert at 8:30 p.m. in the Grace Rainey Rogeres Auditorium at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. by Bohuslav Martinů - premiere (commissioned by the FMF) Adagio for Orchestra by Robert Help - premiere (FMF Award) and Toccata for winds, strings and percussion by Leon Kirchner - first performance in New York (FMF Award). The works will be performed by Symphony of the Air conducted by Leopold Stokowski, with Rudolf Firkušný as piano soloist. Bibliographical details of the composers are enclosed. "Voice of America" will record the concert for European broadcast . Radio station WNYC will broadcast the concert locally. JH will receive tickets directly from the MET office. Basic admission tickets are available to the public. PF hopes that JH will be able to attend the concert.
