Content and physical description
ContentVítězslava Kaprálová is surprised by the content of the letters they sent her. Apparently her previous letters to them [in Czechoslovakia] have been lost somewhere. She names the activities of the last few days, when she first looked for suitable accommodation [to stay where she was] and her daily routine. Concerning OSA, she herself asked whether Václav Kapral had submitted some of her compositions, but did not receive a reply. She has permission from the school [to stay in Monaco], Charles Munch is not teaching anyway because he is away. She was not very enthusiastic about the publication of [April's] preludes. She doesn't know what she will do with the Three Pieces [for piano, Op. 9] if she doesn't have a piano here. During the holidays, [Bohuslav and Charlotte] Martinů will probably come to [Three Wells]. VK will sleep with his mother on the veranda, Vak on the balcony and the Martins in their room. It would be a problem if [Rudolf] Firkušný also came. She wrote to BM to let them know how he intends to stay. VK returns to Paris on 15 May and will stop in Marseille and Avignon. In a year's time he plans to take his mother to the Riviera, where the Martins plan to buy a villa. He also writes about [Rudolf] Kopec, his accomplishments over the past year, and his trip to the Oceanographic Museum. He will also go to Italy to see the mountains.
