ContentLetter with information concerning the concert in mid-October [the concert took place on 4 October 1956 and featured the world premiere of the CLAVIERNE CONCERT No.4 INKANTATION by Bohuslav Martinů]. The concert will be in the Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It will feature the following works - Piano Concerto No. 4 by Bohuslav Martinů (pianist: Rudolf Firkušný), Memorial for Orchestra by Benhard Heiden, Toccata for Strings, Winds and Percussion by Leon Kirchner, and Adagio for Orchestra by Robert Helps. Apart from the Toccata, these are premiere performances. The Foundation would be honored if DM would agree to conduct the concert.
