Content and physical description
ContentLetter from Jeremy Toobin to Paul Fromm. JT received a letter from Maestro Stokowski on September 15 with information about the instrumentation for the October 4 concert [the concert featured the world premiere of the CLASSICAL CONCERT No. 4 INCANTATION]. The final number of players is 74. Therefore, at Mr. Stokowski's urging, he would ask for an increase in the number of players from the original 67 in the contract. The cost would be $21 per performance and $4 per hour of rehearsal for each additional player. JT knows from his assistant that PF will be in New York on October 3, so he asks that he be contacted immediately as Maestro Stokowski is anxious to meet PF as soon as possible. JT would like to introduce PF to Maestro Stokowski as soon as he arrives.
