Content and physical description
ContentVítězslava Kaprálová writes after her arrival in Monte Carlo, where she will probably stay until 15 May. It was cold in Vieux Moulin and she decided to go south to the sea on the advice of her doctor. She had applied for a grant from the colony and the consulate, all of which had been arranged by friends. She got a half-price train ticket with the help of Bohuslav Martinů and Rudolf Kopec. She really liked Avignon, where they stayed for 4 hours. They are now staying in a small budget hotel in Monaco, but she may look for accommodation with a sea view. The parish priest [Alexander Šímovec] and [Štefan Osuský] greeted them. Tomorrow other "Czechomedans" [Czechoslovaks] are due to arrive, including Rudolf Kopec.
