Content and physical description
ContentVítězslava Kaprálová thanks for the money. She had unexpected dental expenses now that her teeth hurt and she also has to heat because of the cold. At worst she would have borrowed from Bohuslav Martinů and paid him back the next month. In the end she did not go to Vieux Moulin because it was cold, but on 27 [April] she will probably go to Monaco (Monte Carlo). Václav Kaprál sent her two letters. The published April Prelude arrived today, but she would need more copies if there are any at home. BM was very happy about them. He takes great care of her, so much so that VK feels like his daughter. He was abandoned here in Paris "because let no one think that he did not miss his nation". [Edgar] Hauner came and had a terrible quarrel with [Rudolf] Kopec [about applying for VK]. However, he will not commit to anyone for next year. On Sunday they played (with RK, EH, BM, [Viktoria] Svihlik and the young Helferts [?]) a joker. She was at home for Easter, only went to Notre-Dame for the resurrection, but it's not as nice there as at home.
