Content and physical description
ContentVítězslava Kapralová had been ill since Monday, but thanks to the care of her friends she soon recovered and was able to go to the Osusky reception on Friday. On Sunday they had a concert where she performed in her Piešt'any costume. They even got an offer for a tour of France, where they would dance the word and sing the choruses. Bohuslav Martinů blames her for forbidding him to go. He took care of her when she was sick and sent her a note from the street so she wouldn't be sad. BM also criticized Václav Kaprál's cold response to the Variations [on the bells of the church of St-Etienne-du-Mont]. VíK sends the Ballad, but Vác is to send it back soon, along with the bells, he needs them in Paris. He and BM are now agonizing over the instrumentation of Farewell and Scarf. [Václav] Mikota hasn't sent her anything. [But she would only sign the contract with the Musical Matrix after consulting BM and Vak. Karel Šebánek wrote that there would be a second proofreading of [April's Preludes] to be performed in England. KS also plans to publish the composition Forever. This was sung by Jarmila Vavrdová with success in [České] Budějovice and is to be performed on 7 March at the celebration of President Tomáš Masaryk's birthday. VáK is not supposed to give anything to anyone without her permission. BM wanted to sue him at the Copyright Club [OSA].
