Content and physical description
ContentFrank Rybka congratulates Jan and Eliška Novák on the birth of their daughter [Dora]. FR writes about his family and friends. Godson [Martinů] is in Nice enjoying the sunshine. The weather was miserable in France all the holidays, so he was bored. His brother [František Martinů] died, so BM is sad. BM will go back to Basel for the winter to [Paul] Sacher, PS is taking good care of him. Rudolf Firkušný is on tour in Europe. BM wrote that they will be giving JULIET in Wiesbaden sometime in January. The [New York] Philharmonic has started the season with [Leonard] Bernstein - they have uniforms as lackeys now. FR is waiting to hear from JN and asks for a book on Poetic Language to be sent.
