Content and physical description
ContentJaroslav Mihule writes to Richard Klos about the fact that every year Charlotte Martinů invites him and his family to France. He and ChM are long-time friends and it is also an expression of gratitude on her part for JM's interest in the work of Bohuslav Martinů. Every year JM unsuccessfully asks the State Bank for a foreign currency pledge, and this year [1976] was no different. In fact, it is not even a foreign exchange pledge, because ChM is willing to pay all the expenses. JM does not want to seek permission at any cost, but believes that in view of ChM this solution is not appropriate. He thinks that without his knowledge she has involved the Paris Embassy or the Minister. ChM believes in the smooth running of things and it would not be diplomatic to disturb that belief. JM asks for support and referral to the Ministry of Culture for consideration.
