ContentIt is a memoir of Bohuslav Martinů, in which the author writes that as a grammar school student he used to go with a group of boys to listen to the street where the Martinů family lived. Every Saturday Zdeněk Otava would visit them and sing with the accompaniment of BM. In the jazz student group they played BM's repertoire. In 1931, they performed a play with the theatre group with jazz music accompaniment and asked BM to sequence and advise them on the choice of a piece. They visited BM in Polička three times and Charlotte Martinů was present. Once he also went with them to Lipnice nad Sázavou, where BM accompanied Bozena Štěrbová on the piano during opera arias.
