ContentDiderik De Jong received contact from Richard Klos in connection with the English version of Charlotte Martinů's book My Life with Bohuslav Martinů. In the spring of 1973, DDJ made a translation from the French manuscript that ChM had sent him several years earlier. He is very pleased that Supraphon is interested in the English version. DDJ sent ChM the translation, which she should check before forwarding it to RK. Last year ChM, together with DDJ, selected photographs to appear in her book. DDJ feels that there are not many photographs in the English version of the book that capture the life of the Martins. She does not know whether RK has discussed this issue with ChM, but DDJ believes that the English edition would have deserved many more photographs. He therefore asked ChM to send more photographs and RK's manuscript. DDJ also reports on the editing and layout of the text - he has numbered the chapters and created a table of contents to make the book more pleasant to read. However, if RK does not agree, they can discuss this together.
