Content and physical description
ContentFrantišek Bartoš writes to the company Hudební matice Umělecké beseda about the music magazine Tempo. The letter is addressed to the director Václav Mikot. He writes that yesterday [15 July 1946] he finally received the 4-5th issue of Tempo, which had been in print for almost four months. He asks if there has been any decision about another printing house. Issue 6 has been in the bindery for a long time, FB complains to the printer that they have not promised anything definite in response to his urgings. FB will come to Prague on 25 July for Tempo and asks VM to urge everything as well. Also, please prepare the exact wording of the new May Contest results and drop it in the mailbox at the flat so that he can include it in the sixth issue. FB asks for issue 2-3 to be sent to Marie Martinu in Polička. He also reports that several copies are being ordered from the Polička Museum and that there is a rumour that Tempo is not available. He concludes by asking about the state of finances, would like to take some money, and criticizes the translations of the quartet's opening words into French and English.
