Content and physical description
ContentJan Novák thanks Eugene Zámečník for the memorial to Stravinsky and the postcard greeting. JN is very busy right now and doesn't have much time to write back. He sends his composition Concentus Biiugis, only the piano part has been published so far. The situation should improve though, JN has found an editor in Munich and should have two things out by Christmas. He's still working with Zanibon [Libreria Musicale Zanibon], but he's published a lot and it's mostly just lying around. JN has also composed a new sonata for solo violin, but will publish it after the performance. He also writes about having heard recent music by Bohuslav Martinů that he didn't know and describes it as divine music. He urges EZ to keep composing, that after much writing the right thing will come along. This was also true of JN, but he had already lost too much time with worldly entertainment.
