Content and physical description
ContentVítězslava Kapralová thanks her parents for their letter. He must always read interesting passages to Bohuslav Martinů. BM will probably go with her to England [to London to perform her Symphonie] [instead of Václav Kaprál]. [Eduard] Munch did not help her with Istar. BM doesn't know what to do with it either. In the last class they were photographed at school and VK is sitting right next to ChM. With BM's help, she tried to get hold of Brahms' Variations on a Theme by Haydn in the shops in Paris, but no luck. Yesterday BM helped her dispel doubts about her Ballade [Ilena], which she had wanted to dismiss. According to BM, it is much more successful than the Prelude she played for him on the piano before. Instead of going to Aleon, VK is taking lessons with a young Swiss girl. VK has been given the task of rehearsing the choirs, the Moravian Word and one dance number for the opening of the new travel agency for the CSR. Tomorrow he is going on a trip with Madame [Betz], Líba [Houžvička] and Gaston [Madame's son].
