Content and physical description
ContentVítězslava Kaprálová writes to her parents about the pre-Christmas rush of presents, trying to find the necessary sheet music for school, visiting the museum with Josef Páleníček, studying the score of Luisa, which she and Líba Houžvičková subsequently visited, and attending a sumptuous reception held in honour of the Czechoslovak army, to which they were invited by JP. [Štefan] Osuský and his family were also there, as was [Miloš] Šafránek. VK goes to Aleon's classes. Karel Šebánek promised to send her his April Preludes for proofreading in January and also arranged for her to conduct in the south. Miloš Jirko sent her a dedication poem "To the Old Flag". Bohuslav Martinů wrote letters to [Darius] Milhaud and [Ernest] Ansermet. BM is due back after the first of January. He told her that he writes all songs, so VK is trying to work on a trio [for wind instruments] which is terribly modern and together it only goes polyphonic.
