ContentJan Novák was with [Bohuslav] Martinů again yesterday. He probably won't write much now, BM goes to his very core. JN has a penchant for writing fugues, but BM says he makes himself too comfortable with it. JN still can't cope with the attacks on his thinking. JN would resist more, but BM is a great composer after all. JN borrows the CONCERT FOR TWO PIANOS WITH ORCHESTRA and has to say that one softens when one plays it.
